Optimal Diet for Musculoskeletal Maintenance, Repair and Recovery
Do you have patients that respond less well to treatment or who take longer to recover after injury? Do you consider this could be due to sub-optimal nutrition leading to ongoing inflammation or a lack of the specific nutrients needed for repair and recovery? More people than ever may be suffering from ‘hidden hunger’. This is when people are eating sufficient calories (often ‘empty calories’) but not getting sufficient nutrients for optimal health leading to a Nutrition Gap or Hidden Hunger. Food farming and production methods, lifestyles, stress and food choices are contributory factors. This talk will explain the foundations of an optimal diet and the importance of gut health, with a special focus on nutrients that research shows are important for musculoskeletal maintenance, repair and recovery.
